Vercidium Audio Brings Realistic Sound to Every Game Developer

Vercidium — an indie studio based in Sydney, Australia — announces the commercial release of Vercidium Audio — a real-time raytraced audio SDK that gives games realistic muffling, reverb and ambience.

Vercidium Audio automatically simulates how sound travels through a 3D environment — bouncing off surfaces, muffling through walls, and accumulating reverb based on geometry and materials. The result is immersive, reactive audio that responds to the world as it changes at runtime.

The SDK also supports 3D audio visualisation, giving deaf and hard-of-hearing players a spatial representation of sounds in the scene.

Vercidium Audio is available now for .NET 8, JavaScript and Godot, with a free download for non-commercial products. The C SDK, Unreal Engine plugin and Godot C++ plugin are planned for late 2026, followed afterwards by console SDKs.

"I built the audio system for Sector's Edge and realised there's nothing like this available for indie devs. I want every game to have audio that sounds realistic and immersive."
